The Game Plan
Three jobs, done together.
Financial planning built around a short earning window and a long life after it. Managed investments, tax strategy, and one person coordinating everyone else.
01
Asset Management
A career compresses a lifetime of earning into a handful of years. Your investments have to respect both halves of that: the life you’re living now and the forty years after it.
We start with cash. How much you need liquid, where it sits, and what it’s for, with the goal of reducing the likelihood that an unexpected expense requires you to sell investments at an unfavorable time. From there we build a long-term portfolio sized to your actual timeline, not a generic model built for someone who retires at 65.
Then we stay disciplined. The plan is reviewed on a regular schedule rather than changed in reaction to every headline.
- Cash and liquidity planning around your season and pay schedule
- A long-term investment strategy sized to your earning window
- Retirement accounts and, where available, employer or league plans
- A written plan you can actually read, reviewed on a set schedule
02
Tax Planning
Athlete income is complicated in ways most people never deal with: NIL deals, contracts, endorsements, and income earned across state lines.
The goal is that tax season is boring. We work alongside your CPA ahead of the deadline so you can plan for quarterly estimates determined with your CPA, and structure decisions can be made deliberately instead of in a rush the week of filing.
If you don’t have a CPA, we can help you identify resources for finding one.
- Quarterly estimates planned and set aside, not scrambled for
- Planning with your CPA for potential self-employment tax considerations related to NIL and endorsement income
- Multi-state filing coordination as your schedule moves you around
- Entity and structure questions worked through with your CPA and attorney
03
Coordination
Most athletes end up with a huddle of professionals and nobody running the play. That’s the job I take.
You keep your agent. You keep your CPA. You keep your attorney. What changes is that they’re all working from the same plan, and you have one number to call instead of four. When a contract, deal, or investment opportunity comes your way, I can help identify the financial considerations and coordinate with the appropriate professionals on your team.
This is the part of the work that doesn’t show up on a statement, but it helps keep the different pieces of your financial life working together.
- Agent and contract timeline coordination
- CPA and tax strategy alignment
- Attorney, entity structure, and estate documents
- Insurance and disability protection review
- A second opinion on any deal, pitch, or investment that comes your way

Straight Answers
Questions athletes actually ask.
The questions I get asked most often.
Do I have enough money for this to be worth it?
Can I still work with my agent and my CPA?
Yes. Keep them. My job is to coordinate the people already around you so everyone is working from the same plan instead of three different ones.
How does NIL income change my taxes?
NIL income can create self-employment and other tax considerations, including estimated tax payments, potential deductible expenses, and filing obligations in multiple states. We incorporate these considerations into your financial planning and coordinate with your CPA to help you plan ahead.
What does a first meeting look like?
Thirty minutes, no paperwork. Where you are, what’s coming, and what’s keeping you up. If we’re not the right fit, I’ll let you know and help you identify appropriate next steps.
